Breakfast Slider Sandwich – Deep Fried Sausage Egg and American Cheese

Servings: 5

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz / breakfast sausage divided into three ounce paddies
  • 4 eggs
  • 5 Slider Buns
  • 4-6 American Cheese, Monterey Jack, or Mozzarella
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Flour
  • Salt and Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Flatten that the sausage patties in a press or with a small frying to get them as thinly uniform as possible. Place on a baking sheet and freeze for 15 to 20 minutes.
  2. Create two dipping pans for flour and two beaten eggs, season flour with salt and pepper. Dip patties in egg and flour and return to the baking sheet and freeze for an additional 15 minutes to set the egg and flour.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in medium size frying pan to 350° - fry off the patties turning once. They are done when they stop frying and place on a paper towel lined baking sheet with , season with salt.
  4. Gently beat the eggs, heat some olive oil in a large pan, pour the eggs into the pan and make sure you roll them around to create a large crepe like egg and let them cook without touching until done, do not brown.
  5. Slide the egg crepe on to a cookie tray or another flat surface. Using three inch circle cookie cutter or another round object such as a glass, cut the egg into five circles, you may have to use some of the trimmed egg, no one will know, you may want to use four eggs for a thicker serving.
  6. Slice buns and toast
  7. Place the cooked patties on a broiler pan, then an egg circle and American cheese, broil to heat the sandwich and melt the cheese. You can also microwave but don’t cook with the bun. Assemble the sandwich after heating.
