The Best Plain and Simple Cranberry Sauce.
You’ll Need:

You’ll need: 1 c. water 3/4 c. sugar 1/4 c. orange marmalade (Smucker’s) 12 oz. (1 pkg.) fresh or frozen cranberries

Here’s What To Do:

Here’s what to do: Combine water and sugar in a heavy bottom saucepan. Bring to a boil and stir until the sugar dissolves, then add the marmalade and cranberries. Boil gently until the cranberries soften and begin to pop. I like to cook this down until most of the berries have popped and the sauce begins to thicken, so when it cools it will have a more jelly like consistency. I also like to serve this slightly chilled but warm is OK too. Woody’s Note – The intense fruit flavor of this sauce is a big bridge with the red wines you may serve such as Pinot Noir or Zinfandel.
