Instructions:
-
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch deep-dish pie plate or cast-iron skillet.
-
Roll out the pizza dough into a circle large enough to cover the bottom and sides of the dish. Press it firmly into place and set aside.

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, Italian sausage, onion, and green bell pepper until the meat is browned and the vegetables are softened. Drain excess fat.

Season the meat mixture with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir in 1/2 cup of the marinara sauce and remove from heat.
-
Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the bottom of the crust.
-
Spoon half of the meat mixture over the cheese, then add a layer of pepperoni.
-
Repeat with the remaining mozzarella, the rest of the meat mixture, and another layer of pepperoni.
-
Spread the remaining marinara sauce evenly over the top.
-
Sprinkle the cheddar cheese evenly over everything.
-
Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
-
Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil or Parmesan if desired.
